Introducing Patrick Van Laarhoven, the Task Force Leader of Developing Talents within the E³UDRES² alliance. With a strong commitment to flexible learning pathways, international mobility, and innovative educational design, Patrick plays a key role in shaping the Multi‑i‑Campus - an ambitious vision for a European learning ecosystem that transcends borders.

What is your involvement in E³UDRES²?

My involvement in E³UDRES² is as the Task Force Leader of “Developing Talents.” In this role, I coordinate the design and development of the Multi‑i‑Campus, which focuses on creating flexible learning formats and a predictive mobility model.

What is your vision for the future with E³UDRES²?

I envision a future where E³UDRES² facilitates a truly European approach to higher education, enabling students and staff to participate in programs both within and across national borders. This border‑crossing - both literal and figurative - enhances perspectives through international experiences. Ultimately, my vision is for E³UDRES² to evolve into an actual European University, characterized by a diverse community of students and staff from various member states.

What has been the most rewarding part of your involvement with E³UDRES²?

The most rewarding aspect has been the rich exchange between members involved in both the work package and the overall consortium. I have always valued international exchange in my studies and work, as it greatly enriches personal and professional development, and makes the whole endeavor a lot more fun!

What impact do you hope E³UDRES² will have on our students and faculty?

I hope E³UDRES² will foster a global mindset among students and faculty, enabling them to approach subjects from diverse cultural perspectives. This aligns with the vision of a united Europe and equips our community to contribute effectively to the future.
