Prospective Applied Research Centers of Excellence

Selected for the alliance support and capacity building

Partners in the E³UDRES² Alliance are collaborating on emerging research topics, uniting recognized researchers from all around Europe. E³UDRES² is striving to build centers with future excellence capacity - all while staying true to the alliance’s mission, values and focus areas. Highlighting the specialized expertise of each participating institution, four research groups aim to enable E³UDRES² to leverage the synergy of shared resources to reach a critical mass in the field of research.

In 2024, four proposals for prospective Applied Research Centers were selected by E³UDRES² for further support and capacity building towards the research excellence corresponding to the E³UDRES² mission, values and focus areas. These centers have been invited to develop their plans and research activities covering a wide range of topics within the respective focus areas of the alliance.

Four focus areas guiding the way

With the overarching themes of "Smart and Sustainable Regions" as well as "Future Universities", the E³UDRES² alliance aims to support European regions in making them innovative, future-proof places for all. In connection to these themes, E³UDRES² is focusing on four further topics:
