A recent E³UDRES² course brought together students from over 20 countries, offering a unique opportunity to develop cross-cultural competence through digital collaboration. Participants from various academic backgrounds worked in teams to explore cultural differences and shared values by creating insightful video projects.
Students collaborated in teams to create videos that highlighted cultural differences and shared human values. Three standout projects earned prizes for their creativity and insight: Cultural Flavors, Different Norms, Same Goals, and a personal glimpse into daily life in Ukraine.
Increasing skills in intercultural communication
Winners received exclusive access to Erin Meyer’s Personal Cultural Profile Tool and the chance to publish their work on E³UDRES² platforms. Despite initial challenges, the students successfully completed the course, sharing positive feedback about increased openness, empathy, and adaptability in intercultural communication.
The course was held as an initiative from Dawn Kremslehner-Haas, lecturer at St. Pölten UAS in Austria, with support of Dorottya Rekecki of the E³UDRES² Head Office throughout its implementation. Looking ahead, the course team is implementing improvements to better support teamwork and engagement for future cohorts. The course provides a great example of how digital skills and intercultural dialogue empower E³UDRES² students to navigate and contribute to a diverse European educational community.
