E³UDRES² Joins Saxion UAS in Celebrating Internationalisation at the Global Village Festival

The Global Village Festival at Saxion University of Applied Sciences, the Netherlands, is a vibrant celebration of diversity, inclusion, and internationalisation. With activities and workshops in Deventer and Enschede, over 170 students, teachers, and employees from different cultural backgrounds came together to showcase their unique traditions, foods, and music. It was a fantastic way to expand all participants' knowledge of each other, share experiences, and foster a sense of community and belonging.

This year's festival was made even more special by the presence of colleagues from some E³UDRES² partner universities, who joined Saxion in the celebration for the first time. Not only did they participate in the festival, but some also hosted workshops, which allowed the team to learn even more from each other. The occasion made it possible for all participants to get to know each other better, and for the team to learn more about Saxion and its surrounding regions.

Exploring E³UDRES² and its possibilities

Moreover, the event was used to kick off the first E³UDRES² workshop for the entire Dutch organisation. Students, teachers, and employees deepened their knowledge about E³UDRES² and its vision for creating one European University specialized on Smart and Sustainable Regions. This was also an opportunity to brainstorm how to integrate E³UDRES² within Saxion UAS and get first impressions from the attendees. It was an excellent turnout with lots of engagement and excitement for what the future holds.

In summary, this was a very successful event, and everyone involved is already looking forward to the next edition. The festival not only celebrates diversity, inclusion, and internationalisation, but it also brings together people from all walks of life to build a sense of community that will benefit everyone involved for years to come.
