On 20 May 2022, more than 280 institutions active in the field of research opened their doors to the public again for the 10th edition of the Austrian "Lange Nacht der Forschung". This yearly event allows anyone to experience hands-on what is happening in the field of research all over Austria, talk to researchers about their work, and learn more about the research topics that are investigated in Austria. St. Pölten UAS again participated in the event and showcased its various research facilities and themes, ranging from railway technology to media and physiotherapy, among many others.

The event, the name of which roughly translates to "Long Night of Research", also offered the opportunity to showcase EU-supported initiatives: The E³UDRES² team at St. Pölten UAS prepared a E³UDRES² booth for the visitors, offering not only general information about the Alliance, but also showing how to get engaged in E³UDRES² through activities like Photo Voice Challenges or Hackathons. In a collection box provided especially for the event, visitors were encouraged to get creative and submit their own ideas for "Future Universities": While many participants just wished for better air conditioning, others imagined the university of the future as a place where socio-economic and social barriers are overcome, and anyone can get access to higher education.

The main attraction of the booth was definitely the Mini Science Pub Quiz. Visitors from various age groups took the opportunity to test their knowledge about the European Universities Initiative as well as sustainability topics - and were rewarded with E³UDRES²-branded chocolate for their efforts. The participation there prepared the visitors already a bit for the St. Pölten UAS-hosted Pub Quiz later that evening, which took place at the spacious Future Lab.
