The E³UDRES² Alliance commenced the new academic year with many members of its team travelling to St. Pölten, Austria, for discussing the next steps of the consortium. The gatherings brought together representatives from all partner universities to discuss next steps and future directions of their collaborative efforts.
Kicking off the week, the E³UDRES² Site Coordinators, the primary representatives for each of the participating universities, gathered to discuss pressing topics of their collaboration. During their time at St. Pölten UAS, the coordinators focused on reviewing responsibilities, governance, financial aspects and reporting tasks of the alliance. These discussions aimed to ensure that the alliance remains aligned with its mission of fostering strong collaboration not only within the consortium, but also with regional ecosystems.
The E³UDRES² digitalisation team also met at St. Pölten UAS, discussing the digital strategy for the upcoming years.
In the same week, the E³UDRES² team focusing on the topic of digitalization came together in person for the first time since the start of the current funding phase of E³UDRES². With an emphasis on digital structures and tools used within the alliance, the team made the next planning steps for the creation of a shared digital platform that will enable the multi-campus university, one of the ultimate goals of the E³UDRES² alliance, to come to life. The digital platform is expected to connect students, and staff across the alliance, facilitating collaboration, teaching and learning, networking, as well as resource sharing. Strategic considerations were also part of the discussions, with participants exploring how digital tools can support long-term goals and strengthen the alliance's impact on education and research.
Next to the considerable progress made, the teams also had the chance to explore the city of St. Pölten, enjoy a cold drink at the main square, and further deepen the connection and collaboration between the nine institutions. With a lot of work being done and events being hosted over the upcoming weeks, the next opportunity for meeting in person and evaluating the progress of the alliance is coming up soon, as the next E³UDRES² General Assembly takes place in Fulda, Germany, at the end of September.
