Fulda University of Applied Sciences dedicated a week, from the 6th to the 12th of October, to welcoming new international students to Fulda. The week was filled with different activities and support services. Those who needed to open a bank account or deal with administrative bureaucratic proccesses in the city, were supported. The week also offered fun activities like pub crawls, city excursions, and a day trip to the highest mountain range in the Rhön Region, the Wasserkuppe.
The following marked the main orientation for all first-year students at Fulda UAS. Students were greeted by the president of the university, supported with registration in the city, and introduced to various opportunities available to them.
Exploring individual opportunities
Both weeks included a fair where students could explore different ways to get involved throughout their studies. The International Student Fair on the 8th of October and the general First-Semester Fair for all students on the 15th of October were filled with information stands ready to answer questions. Representatives included the Erasmus Studies and Internship Office, University Sports, and of course, E³UDRES².
As in previous years, E³UDRES² team members engaged students in fun and interactive ways, such as a guessing-the-language quiz and an interactive map that sparked conversations about where students have been and where they would like to travel in the future.
Both fairs continue to play an important role in helping students transition into university life and encourage them to take active steps in shaping their studies to get the most out of their learning experience. In addition to the fair activities, students were also gifted the colorful E³UDRES² semester calendars, designed by E³UDRES² colleagues.
