From 23 to 25 June 2022, the Europa Forum Wachau took place under the motto "Safeguarding Europe's Future". The event hosted at the beautiful Göttweig Abbey in Lower Austria aims to be an international summit for the European future, with having various political representatives and experts on board, but also involving citizens. After Covid-19 had made it difficult to organise an on-site Forum in the past years, this year, the event was able to take place on-location again.
The 26. edition of the Forum was also joined by Hannes Raffaseder, lead coordinator of E³UDRES², as well as Diana Andone, Director of the eLearning Center at Politehnica University Timisoara, Romania. In an on-site discussion round that was also streamed online, they talked about the topic of "Digitalization & Identity in Cultural Projects". Both speakers took the chance to underline the power of digitalization to transform (higher) education, but also point out the challenges lying ahead. They also highlighted the transformative power of European Universities in improving the cooperation between education, research and regions.
