With this year's focus on Skills for Europe, the event joined the European Commission's aim to mark the 2023 as the European Year of Skills. Offering various inspiring keynotes and panel discussions with distinguished guests ranging from governmental and European officials and experts to rectors and entrepreneurs, the conference allowed its participants to learn and discuss about trends, models and inspiring practices. Host and also venue of this important event was the University Polithenica of Bucharest (UPB) as an international school of engineering and, moreover, the oldest Romanian Technical University.
The interesting program was initiated with an official opening by the current EURASHE president and professor at Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal, Armando Pires, and the Rector of UPB, Mihnea Cosmin Costoiu. One of the sessions focused on European University Alliances, where E³UDRES² representatives Michal Karpisek and Hannes Raffaseder had the chance to discuss their experiences and lessons learned.
The E³UDRES² team looks forward to the strenghtened collaboration with EURASHE. This close connection will also show during the next EURASHE Annual Conference, hosted in May 2024 at St. Pölten UAS, Austria.
