The city of Bergen, Norway, was the host location for a conference organized by four Erasmus+ National Agencies, based in Austria (OeAD), Germany (DAAD), Hungary (Tempus Public Foundation) and Norway (HK-dir). Aiming to connect and learn from existing European University Alliances, it brought together various representatives of European University Alliances, among them also Hannes Raffaseder, lead coordinator of the E³UDRES² alliance.
The event organized on 03-05 May 2023 was hosted by the Norwegian Directorate of Higher Education and Skills (HK-dir). Aiming to showcase the results of more than 40 European University Alliances, the event also had the goal to identify and spread innovative results and best practices from European University Alliances to other higher education institutions. It should also serve as a platform to discuss and explore the transformative impact of the European University Alliances on higher education in Europe.
The conference hosted more than 100 participants from European University Alliances, National Agencies, other higher education institutions, national authorities, the European Commission and other stakeholders. With four plenary sessions, twelve workshops and several networking events, participants had many opportunties to connect, share experiences, identify good practices and learn more about the transformative footprint of the European University Alliances.
