Creative Industry Professionals Gathered at St. Pölten UAS to Intensify Collaboration with E³UDRES²

St. Pölten UAS, managing the E³UDRES² Open Innovation Hub on the topic of Creative Industries & Digital Media, recently invited various representatives of the creative sector to foster cooperation with the E³UDRES² alliance. This networking event brought together interesting experts and organizations from the field of creative industries to explore potential collaborations aimed at advancing innovation and creativity in the region. Besides sharing ideas and networking, the evening also served as an opportunity to discuss challenges the creative sector is facing, and how the E³UDRES² alliance could support in solving them.

Among the guests at the event were Michaela Gutmann (Kreativwirtschaft Austria), Katja Batakovic (Garten Tulln), Nicole Grüneis (Ars Electronica), Sylvia Petrovic-Majer (GLAM), and Silvia Hafellner (Ilse Arlt Institute for Social Inclusion Research). Sibylle Moser and Georg Vogt, both significantly involved in setting up and representing the Open Innovation Hub on Creative Industries & Digital Media, took the chance to connect with the guests at the event. Irene Auffret, Birgit Zimola and Christina Tanzer, being part of the E³UDRES² team working on entrepreneurship and innovation, participated in the event, guiding the attendants through the afternoon's programme.

Participants of the networking event had the possibility to narrow down the most pressing challenges the creative industry sector is facing, with E³UDRES² offering the possibility to support in solving these problems.

Pinpointing real-life challenges

The event, which was kindly supported by AWS, the Austria Wirtschaftsservice, opened with an introduction to the E³UDRES² alliance, highlighting the alliance’s commitment to regional development through education and industry partnerships. Challenge-based formats like I Living Labs or Bootcamps were introduced to the interested audience. After the possibilities within E³UDRES² were discussed, the group had the unique opportunity to outline real-life challenges from their industry.

The industry professionals shared insights into current trends and pressing issues within the sector. This collaborative approach helped identify a range of potential challenges using a problem statement approach, with a deeper look at the users' needs and insights. The challenges that were identified through this process will be feeding into E³UDRES² events coming up later this year, where international student teams can get a glimpse into the realities of the creative industries sector, and have the opportunity to work on these challenges. With many interesting challenges now ready to be tackled by student teams, the participants of the event already look forward to the upcoming E³UDRES² events to come.

E³UDRES² would like to thank its partners for supporting this event:
