Michael Iber has taken on the role as E³UDRES² Academic Director at St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences. In this new role, he will play an important role in bridging the fields of education and research, strategically anchoring the E³UDRES² perspective into St. Pölten UAS' structures and strategies. A key aspect of his position lies in stronger integration of E³UDRES² activities into existing study programmes, modules, research groups and various ongoing activities in education and research within the institution. Michael will act as a first contact person for St. Pölten UAS' academic units (e.g. heads of study programmes, research groups, institutes, departments, faculties) for all academic questions regarding E³UDRES². Therefore, he will support Giuliana Sabbatini in her role as Representative of St. Pölten UAS in the E³UDRES² Executive Board at the institution. The main objectives of St. Pölten UAS with this new position are to attract more staff and students from St. Pölten for ongoing and future E³UDRES² activities, to root E³UDRES² even deeper in the institutional strategy, as well as to make a better use of existing synergies based on a smooth academic collaboration. Naturally, Michael will establish close contacts to academic directors and colleagues engaged within E³UDRES² from all all members of the alliance in order to better understand challenges and anticipate manifold opportunities.
In addition to his role for E³UDRES² at St. Pölten UAS, Michael will contribute to the further implementation of the ongoing E³UDRES² 2.0 Erasmus+ project within the work packages “Smart Learners” (WP2) and “Developing Talents” (WP3). Michael stands out possessing many years of experience as lecturer, researcher and international coordinator. Being internationally recognized in the field of media and digital technologies, he has created a multitude of artistic works in the field of instrumental music, as well as sound and media art. Starting out his career at St. Pölten UAS in 2014, Michael has since served as a lecturer for various study programmes in the field of media. Since 2018, he has been International Coordinator of the Department of Media & Digital Technologies, as well as Member of the Board of the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences.
