"Politehnica Timișoara - A step towards your future!" Event Designated its Winners

Almost 1,500 students from all over Romania participated in the competitions organized within the 10th edition of the "Politehnica Timișoara - A step towards your future!" event, and, for the best of them, the reward came these days. The Politehnica University of Timișoara organized the award ceremony in the Auditorium of the university on May 12. 148 winners were the result of 10 national competitions organized between April 8 and May 12, 2023:

  • The "Hans Fackelmann" architecture competition, organized by the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning

  • The "Valeriu Alaci" mathematics and algorithm contest, within the iTEC competition, organized by the Faculty of Automation and Computers

  • The EcoSmarTim competition, organized by the Faculty of Industrial Chemistry and Environmental Engineering

  • The "Constructions - Tradition and Future" competition, organized by the Faculty of Civil Engineering

  • The "Electronics between hardware and software" contest, organized by the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technologies

  • The "Intelligent Electricity Generation" Professional Ideas Competition, organized by the Faculty of Electrical and Power Engineering

  • The "Anton Saimac" competition, organized by the Faculty of Engineering from Hunedoara

  • The Escape Game - Accept the MPT challenge, organized by the Faculty of Management in Production and Transport

  • The "Leonardo da Vinci" technical project competition, organized by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering

  • The Communication Olympics, organized by the Faculty of Communication Sciences

Workshops, discussions and discovering Timisoara

The winning students, from the Romanian counties of Alba, Arad, Bacău, Bihor, Brașov, Cluj, Dolj, Galați, Gorj, Hunedoara, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Prahova, Satu Mare, Timiș, Vâlcea and from the capital Bucharest, had a rich program in Timișoara. The event included, in addition to the awards ceremony, participation in workshops prepared by UPT on the topics of "Career and well-being", "Student in Timișoara and volunteering", "E³UDRES² network of European universities and student mobility", and "The relationship between culture and science, a bridge for innovation". Next to a debate with the theme "Timișoara, a city for young professionals", together with representatives of the academic environment, the business environment and the administration, participants also visited the UPT Library and the Interactive Center of physics Experimentarium TM. In addition, they enjoyed a guided tour of Timisoara, the 2023 European Capital of Culture.
