The 2024 UIIN Conference, held at the Teatro Goya in Madrid, once again brought together a wide range of university professionals, researchers, and policy-makers. UIIN, the University Industry Innovation Network, hosts the event on an annual basis. Among the many best practices presented at the event, also the E³UDRES² Alliance was showcased when Gabriele Permoser of St. Pölten UAS, Austria, took the stage. In her presentation titled "Towards a European University as Driver for European Smart and Sustainable Regions", she showed how E³UDRES² connects education with working on real-life challenges of the regions E³UDRES² is located in.
The showcase of the E³UDRES² Alliance did not end there, as also a further project part of the E³UDRES² universe was shown: UAShome, a project aiming to promote Universities of Applied Sciences as innovation and entrepreneurship centres for Digital Health, was presented by Gabriele through a project poster.
Wrapping up the event, it was clear that the 2024 UIIN Conference theme, "Shaping the Future of Talent and Innovation," resonated strongly with the principles of E³UDRES². Sessions at the conference revolved around topics such as Entrepreneurship, Innovative Education or Regional Innovation.
