The center for Business Modelling for Managing Sustainability in a Circular and Climate Neutral Economy's vision is to promote impactful, high-quality research, focusing on the development of sustainable, climate-neutral, and circular business models for Smart and Resilient Regions.
Its mission is to achieve this firstly through sustainable business model development using collaborative innovation and value co-creation by stimulating practice-oriented research with real-life cases engaging local, regional, and national organizations (B2B, B2G, B2C, B2Co). Secondly, it is to enrich education through R&D processes in the E³UDRES² institutions by supporting knowledge transfer between partners and their regional stakeholders using common events, frameworks, demonstrations, and tutorials with young researchers.
Multiple value creation at the heart of Smart and Sustainable regions
With all nine E³UDRES² partners involved, the center aims for maximum diffusion of sustainable business model thinking, capacity building, and promotion of knowledge transfer through a wide range of research and educational activities. A multiple-value (economic, environmental, social) creation approach through a quadruple helix perspective (industry, academia, government, society) is central to its endeavors to provide innovative solutions and strategies for the main challenges of the 21st century related to climate change, circular, and a neutral economy.
