Stronger Together

The E³UDRES² Alliance unites 9 higher education institutions and is part of the European Universities Initiative launched by the European Commission, indicating excellence in the field of higher education.

A combination of unique, scientific universities and universities of applied sciences is at the core of E³UDRES². All partnering institutions are ambitious, flexible, small or medium-sized universities and located in a small or medium-sized European city. While being strongly anchored in their surrounding environments, the E³UDRES² institutions never lose track of international trends and are well-connected within the European Higher Education Area.

Science Comes Alive at European Researchers’ Night in Austria

During the annual European Researchers’ Night, with more than 1200 visitors this year, E³UDRES² joined the celebrations in Graz with activities for students, staff, and the public. Highlights included an interactive booth, the Photovoice Challenge exhibition, and two Science Pub Quizzes, making science accessible and engaging for all.

More Than 100 Students Set Out to "Unmask Harm in Creative Industries" During Intensive I Living Labs in Austria

From 15-19 September 2025, St. Pölten UAS hosted the E³UDRES² Intensive I Living Lab 2025. Around 130 students coming from St. Pölten UAS as well as the E³UDRES² partner universities came together to explore the ways in which harmful narratives can surface in culture, media, and digital spaces.

What about the numbers in E³UDRES²?

Have you ever wondered what the numbers in E³UDRES² mean? E³UDRES² is an acronym for Engaged and Entrepreneurial European (3xE = E³) University as Driver for European Smart and Sustainable (2xS = S²) Regions. Sounds more complicated than it really is - if you say E³UDRES² out loud, you would just say it as "EUDRES" (sounds like you-dress), without any numbers involved.
