June 2024 | #student
Introducing Karīna Anna, the Chair of the E³UDRES² Student Board 2024 and a soon‑to‑be graduate of Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences. With a background in IT and cybersecurity and plans to continue her Master’s studies in the same field, Karīna brings a strong analytical mindset and a passion for student engagement into the heart of the alliance.
Introduce yourself and tell us a bit about your background.
My name is Karīna Anna and, as of now, I’m still a student at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, though I’m graduating on Friday (28th June). I studied IT – cybersecurity – and I plan to continue my Masters in the same field. I am the current Chair of E³UDRES² Student Board.
Rapid Fire Round - Tea or coffee? → Coffee.
Have you discovered any new interests or passions as a result of your involvement?
Definitely. In recent Forums and Conferences, I’ve found that I share some thoughts and views with other people from E³UDRES² when it comes to organising, brainstorming, and pushing ideas into reality. I wouldn’t want to say that project management is exactly this newfound passion of mine, but something along those lines. Connecting with people, finding and solving problems within work groups, and striving for something that students can use has become a part of my everyday life now.
Rapid Fire Round - Favourite study spot on campus? → Hallway on the second floor — too many presentations have been made there 10 minutes before presenting
What has been the most rewarding part of being on the Student Executive Board?
I think meeting other students. could go on about various activities and whatnot, but if the students aren’t interested, then there really is no point in doing all that. Therefore, meeting motivated and interested students is the most rewarding part.
Rapid Fire Round - Best board meeting snack: sweet or savoury? → Savory.
What is your most memorable moment from your involvement in the Board
Our first panel in Timișoara. I think that was the point where we managed to set our foot down and show that E³UDRES² has students who are willing to be involved. Sure, we are a fairly new Student Board and there is still so much room for deciding what our key value is, but that was the moment where I think the rest of E³UDRES² could see they have reached at least some students who also want to strive for this alliance.
