International Engagement Circus 2026

The International Engagement Circus is back — this time hosted by Politehnica University Timișoara as part of the E³UDRES² European University Alliance. This unique 5-day blended experience brings together students, university staff and entrepreneurs from across Europe to network, collaborate, and develop innovative solutions through interactive workshops and real-world challenges.

This year's edition focuses on Digital Literacy, Cybersecurity, AI Ethics and Sustainable Digital Practices — exploring how we can build trustworthy, secure and responsible digital environments across Europe. Before the on-site programme in Timișoara, all participants take part in a mandatory online appetizer session to kick off the community and get prepared.

Virtual kick-off — mandatory online appetizer

Introduction to the programme, group formation (one student per partner institution), meet your supervisor, and synchronous lecture on course requirements and digital topics.

On-site · 12-16 October 2026 · Timisoara, Romania

5-day face-to-face programme at Politehnica University Timisoara

· Interactive design sprints and ideathons

· Lab-based workshops on secure coding and ethical AI

FAQs

All students and staff from E³UDRES² partner universities — regardless of study programme or background — plus innovators and business owners from the E³UDRES² regions.

Participation is free. Financial support for travel and accommodation may be available through your home institution via the Erasmus+ BIP scheme. Contact your local coordinator for details.

Students can receive 3 ECTS for full participation (virtual + physical components are both mandatory). Your home institution handles the recognition.

All activities are conducted in English.
