E³UDRES² Attracted Numerous Visitors During "Lange Nacht der Forschung" at USTP

The "Lange Nacht der Forschung" ("Long Night of Research") is Austria's biggest public event for science and research. Being part of the biannual event, USTP – University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten and E³UDRES² invited the public to the institution's campus, where visitors of all ages got to know more about the alliance as well as the university of applied sciences and its facitilities.

Activities for all age groups

At a dedicated E³UDRES² booth, visitors of all ages got to try out a Mini E³UDRES² Science Pub Quiz on an interactive touchscreen. With questions ranging from facts about the European Union, the E³UDRES² Alliance and science-related topics, the participants had a total of five rounds to prove their knowledge. At the same time, younger audiences got to recreate the E³UDRES² diamond with a fun connect-the-dots game, getting rewarded with a sweet E³UDRES² chocolate heart for their finished drawing.

The E³UDRES² booth was presented together with the newly approved project S.P.A.C.E. (Science and Public Awareness through Creative Exploration), which will bring the European Researchers’ Night to St. Pölten on 25 September 2026. S.P.A.C.E. was the only project approved nationwide and was strengthened through collaboration with the E³UDRES² associated partner Ars Electronica, as well as with the EC2U European University Alliance led by Johannes Kepler University Linz (JKU), uniting experts from different alliances in a shared initiative.

During the event, also a full E³UDRES² Science Pub Quiz was hosted in collaboration with S.P.A.C.E., allowing visitors to get together in teams and answering a total of fifteen questions. The winning team got to take home a E³UDRES² goodiebag.

In total, the "Lange Nacht der Forschung" brought 900 visitors to the campus of USTP, showing the variety of research activities of the university of applied sciences at more than 30 interactive booths. In addition to the programme on campus, USTP offered a varied programme at the new USTP City Lounge (currently in development), as well as in St. Pölten's main square. The next edition of the "Lange Nacht der Forschung" is taking place in 2028.
