On 3 October 2026, E³UDRES² will contribute to Saxion Technology Day in Enschede, part of the Dutch Weekend van de Wetenschap (Science Weekend).
Visitors will be able to discover the E³UDRES² alliance through short videos from colleagues at partner institutions across Europe, sharing who they are, what they work on and where their expertise lies. In this way, E³UDRES² brings its European network closer to the local community in Enschede. A question box will make the experience interactive, allowing visitors to leave a question for one of the colleagues featured in the videos and creating a direct connection between local visitors and E³UDRES² partners across Europe.
Saxion will also bring E³UDRES² research collaboration to life through robotics and mechatronics. Professor (lector) Abeje Mersha leads the E³UDRES² Prospective Applied Research Center of Excellence I²RS: Intelligent Integral Robotic Systems, which connects researchers and experts from partner institutions across Europe. During Technology Day, Saxion’s Smart Mechatronics and Robotics Research Group will contribute a hands-on workshop, giving children, parents and other curious visitors the opportunity to experience robotics and mechatronics up close.
Together, these contributions show how E³UDRES² connects local communities, Saxion expertise and European research collaboration through people, research and technology.
