The E³UDRES² team at Fulda University of Applied Sciences hosted a culinary week called 'Get a Taste of Europe' in collaboration with the university cafeteria, as part of the DAAD “Weeks of European Universities”. This DAAD initiative aimed to raise awareness of European University Alliances, which have the potential to influence higher education and society in Germany and throughout the EU.The E³UDRES² team saw this as a fitting opportunity to highlight the E³UDRES² alliance and Fulda University's involvement.
A main dish from one of the E³UDRES² partner countries was served each day, drawing in lines of students and faculty ready to explore new flavors. The following countries and their dishes were represented:
Monday: Finland – Lohilaatikko (Salmon and potato bake)
Tuesday: Romania- Ardei umpluti (Stuffed peppers)
Wednesday: Hungary – Gulyás (Goulash soup)
Thursday: Portugal -Frango Piri-Piri (Portuguese Piri Piri chicken)
Friday: Netherlands – Kibbeling (Deep fried fish)
Alongside enjoying these dishes, participants had the chance to familiarize themselves with the alliance by reviewing the information sheet and scanning the QR Code displayed next to the serving area. This was a creative way to satisfy culinary curiosity while also sparking interest among cafeteria visitors.
We are looking forward to another culinary journey next year!
