E³UDRES² Culinary Week: Get a Taste of Europe

The E³UDRES² team at Fulda University of Applied Sciences hosted a culinary week called 'Get a Taste of Europe' in collaboration with the university cafeteria, as part of the DAAD “Weeks of European Universities”. This DAAD initiative aimed to raise awareness of European University Alliances, which have the potential to influence higher education and society in Germany and throughout the EU. The E³UDRES² team saw this as a fitting opportunity to highlight the E³UDRES² alliance and Fulda University's involvement.

Representing the E³UDRES² countries

All E³UDRES² partner countries were represented with a dish throughout the week, drawing in lines of students and faculty ready to explore new flavors. The following countries and their dishes were represented:

Monday

• Hungary - Paprikás Csirke (Paprika Chicken)

• Finland - Lohilaatikko (Salmon Casserole)

Tuesday

• Netherlands - Hutspot (Mashed potatoes and carrots)

• Romania - Mamaliguta cu brânza si smântâna (Cheesy Polenta with sourcream)

Wednesday

• Belgium - Boulets à la Liégeoise (Liège meatballs)

• Latvia - Auksta zupa (Cold Beetroot Soup)

Thursday

• Austria - Schweineschnitzel "Wiener Art" (Pork schnitzel "Viennese style")

Friday

• Portugal- Piri-Piri chicken with fries

• Germany - Hamburger Pannfisch (Hamburg-style fried fish)

Alongside enjoying these dishes, participants had the chance to familiarize themselves with the alliance by reviewing the information sheet and scanning the QR Code displayed next to the serving area. This was a creative way to satisfy culinary curiosity while also sparking interest among cafeteria visitors.
