E³UDRES² Highlighted at High‑Level Erasmus+ Conference in Brussels

At the invitation of Hesse’s Minister of Science Timon Gremmels, the E³UDRES² Alliance was represented at the high‑level conference on the future of Erasmus+ and European University Alliances on 14 January 2026 in Brussels. The event brought together EU representatives, policymakers, and universities to discuss the next steps for the European Higher Education Area.

E³UDRES² Presented by Fulda University of Applied Sciences

Prof. Dr. Karim Khakzar, President of Fulda University of Applied Sciences, introduced the E³UDRES² approach and its growing impact across European regions.

He described how the alliance brings challenge‑based and hands‑on learning to life, connects universities with smart and sustainable regional development, and fosters entrepreneurial mindsets through co‑creation with local partners. He also emphasised the importance of flexible learning pathways and meaningful mobility opportunities that benefit learners across all partner regions.

Through his presentation, E³UDRES² was shown as a vibrant community where students, teachers, innovators, and regions work together on real‑life challenges and shared transformation.

Messages and Feedback from the European Community

Representatives from the European Commission and the European Parliament recognised the role of alliances like E³UDRES² in shaping new learning ecosystems and strengthening cooperation across Europe. Their feedback highlighted the alliance’s strong commitment to openness, innovation, and regional engagement.

Strengthening connections across Europe

The event offered a valuable space for exchanging experiences, sharing concrete examples, and discovering how alliances continue to improve learning, regional engagement, and cross‑institutional collaboration.
