FEMALE Friday Talks Kicked Off With a Focus on Sustainability

Empowering female entrepreneurs while sharing personal stories and inspiring career paths - that's the aim of the FEMALE Friday Talks, a new series of online talks organized by the E³UDRES² alliance. The series, focusing on giving the spotlight to female founders, experts and innovators from the alliance and beyond, kicked off in early March 2026 with a first session titled "Sustainability as a Strategic Advantage for Startups & SMEs“. In this initial session, participants were able to listen to Austrian entrepreneur Vera Pichler, a business consultant with a focus on environmental sustainability. Vera runs her own consulting company named Ellivo, providing guidance to companies and organizations regarding questions around the topics of sustainability, communications, and more.

Sustainability in a business context

In her talk, Vera addressed founders, entrepreneurs and interested listeners to explore how sustainability is becoming essential for long-term business success. The 90-minute session highlighted the growing impact of EU regulations, investor expectations, and market pressures on startups and SMEs across Europe. Participants gained practical insights into ESG requirements, sustainability planning, and the increasing importance of sustainability data for funding, investment readiness, and competitive positioning. The session also focused on female founders, emphasizing how sustainability-driven entrepreneurship can create long-term market advantages and resilience. The webinar concluded with practical takeaways and actionable first steps to help businesses integrate sustainability into their strategies efficiently and effectively.

The FEMALE Friday Talks will give the stage to further inspiring speakers throughout the year 2026. The next sessions, each focusing on different topics such as AI, wellbeing or scaling a business, will again bring interesting insights from entrepreneurial females across Europe.
