On 26 September 2025, it was once again time for the European Researchers’ Night – an annual event hosted across Europe, aiming to put science and research in the spotlight for one evening. This year’s edition in Austria, specifically in Graz, attracted more than 1,200 visitors, offering interactive activities and opportunities to engage with research in an accessible way.
E³UDRES² at the Event
Collaborating with the University of Graz, the Austrian E³UDRES² team joined the activities with an interactive booth at the Universalmuseum Joanneum, presenting the alliance’s mission and initiatives. Visitors learned how European universities collaborate to develop innovative solutions for regional challenges.
A key feature was a Mini Science Pub Quiz at our booth, where participants tested their knowledge about science and Europe, sparking curiosity and encouraging them to learn more about E³UDRES².
Another highlight was the Photovoice Challenge exhibition, originally launched during the E³UDRES² Science Festival in St. Pölten in May 2025. Angelika and Eva explained how the challenge works and showcased the winning submissions from Austrian schools, answering the question:
“What do I want the older generation to know about the climate crisis?”
Science Pub Quiz
The evening also featured one bigger Science Pub Quiz at Graz Rathaus, hosted by Eva and Luna. This quiz sparked lively discussions around the science facts featured in the game, turning knowledge-sharing into a social experience. The winning team received E³UDRES² goodies as prizes.
The event once again highlighted the importance of making science accessible and interactive, fostering dialogue between researchers and society.
