From March 10 to 12, St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences had the pleasure of welcoming Prof. Alcina Prata from the Polytechnic University of Setúbal. As an expert in cybersecurity and cross-media technologies, she used her visit to explore the campus and connect with many colleagues. She engaged in in-depth discussions with Torsten Priebe, Head of the Data Intelligence Research Group, as well as with the program directors of Creative Computing, Markus Seidl, and Media Technology, Rosa von Suess. Prof. Prata traveled between two E³UDRES² partners, the Polytechnic University of Setúbal and St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences, further fostering collaboration and strengthening ties within the E³UDRES² network.
Students of the international Digital Innovation and Research program at St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences were especially excited about a guest lecture by Prof. Alcina Prata, where she also shared insights into her current research topics.
Initiatives like this show the value of collaboration between institutions in higher education, giving students the chance to gain diverse learning experiences and insights from international guest lecturers. These cross-border activities, which will grow in the coming years, enrich students' academic journeys and strengthen the relationships between the institutions.
