Research projects / Experience

Development of a (LCA-)tool

Development of a (LCA-)tool to determine the real value of reusing water taking into account different sources locally available, state-of-the-art and promising break-through treatment technologies, different requirements in case of the water-fit-for-use approach, requirements of (auxiliary) chemicals, and (post)treatment of waste streams created during processing.

Development of a business model to analyse the impact on water quality & quantity

Development of a business model to analyse the impact on water quality & quantity for sustainable transitions in the food producing & supply chain (food-for-local market, only seasonal food, less animal based product, more organic food, bio-fertilizers, aqua-hydroponics, etc.). Water used for agriculture is worldwide the largest application (around 70% of all water use) (>: strong impact on quantity) and currently too much food isn’t produced locally and requires a lot of chemicals.
